She’s the Chief Visionary for Pink Collar, along with a principal role in both consulting and creative projects. In addition to her role at Pink Collar, she is the Founder and CEO of Success in the City, an unconventional business networking organization for senior level executive businesswomen in the DC Metropolitan area. She is also a partner in Success in the City TV, a joint initiative with EFX Media established to develop, create and deliver Internet video content programming by, for and about women. In the DC metro area, and increasingly around the country, Cynthia is known as a serial entrepreneur & social commentator on the status of women in our world today. She also encourages the label "open networker" and, just for fun, "Diva Extraordinaire." Washington Business Journal selected her as one of the top 25 "Women Who Mean Business" in 2006. This year Cynthia is recognized by SmartCEO Magazine for the 2009 Brava Award. She’s passionate about empowering others and the principle of paying-it-forward. Her community focus includes service as a Board member of The Women’s Center, the Telework Coalition, The Community Business Partnership and The Women's Business Center.

Her most recognized work and her first book was Raising the Bar: Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the ACLU Women's Rights Project. She was educated at Sweet Briar College and the University of Virginia. She began her Washington life in 2000 as a corporate strategy consultant with Reingold, Inc., a boutique firm in Georgetown, and was recruited to NARAL (now NARAL Pro-Choice America) for the 2002 election cycle. In 2003, she founded her first company, Bloom Consulting + Publishing. Under Amy's leadership, Bloom's strong track record grew to include projects of all sizes. National and international projects included a multi-million dollar capital campaign for the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia and counsel on the Grace Children's Foundation's entry into corporate partnerships in Beijing, China. Amy is active in her community and served as a founding Board member of the Virginia Network of Nonprofit Organizations (VANNO). In 2002, Governor Warner appointed her to the Governor's Commission on Community and National Service, where she served on the Executive Committee. Currently, Amy serves on the Board of Directors for Success In The City. |
